Can anyone advise where is the best place to advertise a 2006 Lunar Solaris Van. We will be offering lots of extras included in the price as we have now bought a static van and will no longer use it. Am hoping that the extras will help with the sale. Any advice greatly received.

Try the free ads on here?  If you're OK for storing it & can afford to wait til spring for the money you're likely to get a better price & quicker sale at the start of the season (Feb onwards).

Depending on who will be interested in your van - that is will you be selling it cheap enough for a new caravanner to buy or are you aiming higher to interest second time buyers? In the former case yes extra will help with the sale, but not in the latter so it would be better to sell extras separately.

As to where to sell I will always advise eBay preferably as a classified ad rather than an auction make sure you have plenty of pictures of the inside and make sure they are the right way up - it is the pictures that sell a caravan not words but do give a good honest write up of the van.

One last thing if you can afford to, leave the selling to spring - around or just after Easter as you will get more for it than if you sell it now

But there are more buyer's in April May time :)  You probably will be able to sell it to people who have camped this year in the wet and rain who want to extend their season by buying a caravan, it might take a little longer but you should still get a good price.

Have you asked on the Static Forum for people's opinion on buying a Static as most of the people who own them will tell you it is really expensive and not to do it?!
