please can anyone tell us where we are going wrong with our dorema awning.

When we put it up everything looks fine. we pull all the poles out to the maximum length we can before tightening. Although all the sides are taut there seems to be a slight dip each side of the roof but we can't figure out how to get rid of it. whenever it rains the water pools in these dips and does drip through. We keep having to use my mums walking stick to push each side of the roof up to get rid of the water. we are terrified that one of these days the awning will rip.

does anyone have any ideas what we are doing wrong

  i had a similar problem . full size dorema awning on a lunar lexon ds. it went on fantasic loooked fantastic. put the porch awning  on the right hand side.(as your looking at it) brilliant lookd fine fitted brill. went to another ralley and put the porch on the left side . and it looked like a dogs dinner. i decided it must be right handed. also had pools of water both sides

ps found the original erection instructions . they recomend putting the awning on complete with all four pieces zipped in . then put the poles in . un zip   the sides and front pieces half way. use a pole tensioner.  tenion  zip p then peg out. to solve the water prob you could always get some extra poles where it dips . they can also be used as storm poles.  happy vanning  

Be careful with pooling of water ...

My dad had an awning that pooled like you detail. We went to the pub and whilst there a massive storm accured.

The water just pooled and couldnt get away within minutes. we arrived back to see teh whole of the middle sunk with the poles bent and a huge pool of water iin the middle that we could not shift because it was so heavy. Had to just rip it down.

You would not think it can happen but it could. Try to put some extra poles in.
