Seeing as you put it out there Alan whats your experience of Lunars leaking?
looked at several meteorites and arrivas at the time i bought my fleetwood, all were damp. 1 was totally rotten.
at the secc I looked at a new lunars and IMO the build quality was poor, 1st day of show and the shower head was hanging off the wall, sawdust in cupboards, laminate peeling. wasnt impressed
Thanks for the info, having looked at so many now you do tend to get a feel for which are better made than others and I'm still favouring the Fleetwood although Elddis have now come into the equation
Must admit we like the look of Elddis vans, our next van would probably be one (if ever we could afford it) They do insist on that glass plate over the sink though, whereas I much prefer a separate drainer and more workspace. One of my particular bugbears. I may just have to compromise on that one.

My Fleetwood is now 10 years old with no major probs or damp. The small probs that have arisen I have been able to fix myself using readily available parts.
We've bought vehicles in the past that are now out of production, as long as the condition is fine they'll still sell, but if the condition is not right you'll see the market for them dry up. I guess it'll be the same with caravans. Personally, I wouldn't buy anything that's not still up & running in future. Even if the price is right when you buy, it's no good being stuck with it when you want to sell. Having lost out in the past, that's my opinion.
