After just been on first outing in the new van, as it was only a few days in cardiff we didnt bother putting the awning up,its an isabella capri lux can anyone tell me are they fairly straight forward to erect and what is the quality like.
Yes fairly easy to put up the only thing we found was to the side panels don't go straight they go on a slant also we found it easier putting the panels in seperate, we have only used ours twice and really pleased with the quality

We have an Isabella awning, and it cost about £1200 they are expensive awnings so it should be good. Were really happy with ours. With regards to putting it up, it does take time, and only after you have put it up and down a few times, will you find it becomes easier, and quicker.
With the canvass pulled through, start putting it up [and finish taking it down] by the centre rafter and front vertical.
Followed by the the two gable poles, side verticals and side rafters.
With just the two poles the centre rafter and vertical its all self supporting and stable. This I find by way the best technique and its easy and wind permitting can be a single person job.
I am in the "panels separated club", saves so much weight and hence drag on pulling through the awning rail.
