blinds down for long time = pressure on the springs  and in the end the blinds don't work as well as they should        curtains every time

on the drive for a short periods should be ok     curtains in vans are low quality at the best of times but don't really get affected by uv too much   

why close the blinds when travelling?    lorry drivers won't see anyone in the van  there shouldn't be anyone in there anyway!  what's the point?

I personally leave the blinds up - but close the curtains.

When driving - blinds up, works for me - as I can see through my van.  But I think blinds down when driving is frowned upon because the glare they can cause in sunlight, to other drivers.

In my experience it stretches the springs leaving them shut, its best to use a breathable cover or your curtains, in old vans the blinds can go crusty through too much sunlight an you can basicaly poke your finger through them when closed, weve had both new and old vans.

But to be on the safe side id use my curtains
