The fridge switch light (green) has always flickered since we got the caravan 2 years ago, but now tends to stay off for longer periods and then the fridge doesn't cool properly.

It works fine on gas and gets nice and cold.

So, is this likely to be a loose wiring problem? If so, how do we get the fridge out to check and repair it?

thanks, I am worried that it's the element. However the green switch is still lit although it flickers a lot

Is it easy to take the fridge out to check the wiring Am worried about gas pipes and the like!

Hi ShirlZ,

The element on our fridge (RM4271) gave up the ghost, however the green light remained on...the fridge just stopped cooling.

From what you describe it looks like you may have a loose connection or a faulty switch (as per Michaels' post)

What model of fridge do you have?

Trotter
