Hi all, I'm looking at the 2011 sprite quattro fb was just wondering if any one has the 2010 model and if the van is ok or not. I have a 2010 elddis 556 with top bunk dampness and it's been in to have the mushroom vents fitted but it's not worked. So looking to change.
Check the back wall in the toilet and behind the fixed bed . Also around the fixed bed external locker for damp . Ours had a leak between where the 2 panels join on the back causing 40% damp reading when it was 9 months old . The rear panel hadn't been bonded correctly .

dont think this will be an issue as they are asking about 2011 model!! surely theres no damp in a brand spanker??
Although we dont have the Quatro we do have the 2010 Sprite Major and thought i would chip in that we think it is a great van especially for the money. We have had no major problems just a few little niggles and it feels solid and comfortable. Everything works really well and because it isnt a luxury range of vans we haven't paid thousands more for extras that we wont ever use - so for us it was the right choice and i would recommend the range to anyone.
Our quattro FB was a brand new van bought in Feb 2009 it had 40% damp by the November . Initially I agreed to take delivery of another new quattro in February 2010 however it had the same fault present . On closer inspection numerous new sprites had the same fault i'd recommend checking where the aluminium back panel joins the fibreglass section if you can get your fingertips inbetween the two panels the mastic is insufficient .It only takes 2 minutes to check surely its worth doing even on a brand new caravan ? Brand new caravans can still have damp !
It made me laugh reading about catching the tap in the shower with belt loop i used to do it quite regularly ! LOL.Apart from the damp & the front window failing it was a good caravan layout ideal for a large family
We own a 2010 Sprite Quattro under the Guise of a Lowdhams Sportstyle Twin 6, we love the layout, the quality inside is brill, only downside for me is the finish outside with the sealant, and the mattress has a good roll together caused by the lift up aluminium frame, ive corrected it mostly by using a scissor jack underneath the middle, i know i shouldnt but im going to assess in october before reporting back to the dealer. other than that we love the caravan , the best layout we saw at last years show in october in Brum
Please could you be a bit more specific regarding the area we should check... when we collect ours I want to check that area very carefully... thanks
Still excited though, I'm hoping that if we keep a close eye on the outside everything will be fine. The interior suits us down to the ground, so fingers crossed!
Also, what security devices are people using on these vans? We are looking to reinsure, and some companies are insisting on a tracker being fit.
