i was on the NR awnings wed site and it say ther a veranda pole optional for my awning. whats a veranda pole and what does it do

as far as i know a pole goes to the centre of the centre pole and the centre of the side pole side pole at the front and you can fold down the awning front.

Same here - I'd seen them for sale with no explanation of what they're for at all. They're great - especially if you're somewhere hot - used them every day in France in the summer .

We used one on out Dorema Vitesse. So easy to drop the front down and let it rest on the pole.

think there going on the lsit for next year will be great to have the awaning its self pegd downa nd doors shut so the dogs can trot about but have the top of the windows for some air espcily in devon. i dont do heat so will need a lot of cooling things for the trip down there next year

There are often a few for sale on the old FleaBay, thats where I got mine from. or Preloved.

They come in different materials like awning poles in general with steel, aluminium and composite choices, Generally too they are adjustable in length within certain ranges. Great for letting a bit of air in hot weather or gives a bit of rigidity across the front when its windy.

We do the same thing but using elastic bungee's with a hook on each end to go from pole to pole. works just as well.
