I would have thought you would be able to, although you may have to twiddle a few knobs to do it

Assuming its a UK spec Nova then you should be able to.
Instead of connecting the pump hose bayonet put the hose in the water filler. Then click on that little switch and the pump will empty the Aquaroll into the onboard tank.
I was warned not to put the switch on with the bayonet connected as it could do damage but I am not convinced of that or brave enough to check.
Don't overfill the tank or water will leak out the top [from inboard pump mounting]into the van. That I have proved!

If you put the pump on with the bayonet connected the pressure will break the seals that allow you to use the aquaroll outside instead of using the internal tank.

The leak you get comes from the pressure release valve sticking open, I cured that by squirting some WD40 into the valve and then giving the tank a thorough cleaning out with several full tanks of clean water. Once you get the little ball bearing moving again the water pressure as the tank fills pushes the ball bearing up to the top of the valve and it seats there and stops the water coming out. I routinely fill my tank up untill the water spills out of the filler neck.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

Its interesting that you can do that as then the head is above the tank top and as I said in my case it leaks/weeps from around the blue collard "plug" that mounts the internal pump and its electrical wire. Clearly it only leaks the excess volume of water standing in the filler neck but that all goes into the van, and wicks under the tank etc.
I have also had the "reticent" ball issue in the female bit of the bayonet fitting; I cured this by working in a smear of silicon grease. Healthier than using WD40 I would suggest.

Mine did exactly what you say yours is doing ( it did not do so when the van was new ). So I investigated and found that the whilst the water sometmes collected within the blue cap, and sometimes in the square insert that the blue cap fits in and sometimes in both, that the only place where the water came from was from the nozzle that I have arrowed in the picture.

So I investigated the nozzle, found that it had a ball bearing in and that it allowed air to pass in and be blown out. I found that it is a form of release valve so I made sure that the ball bearing moved easily in the tube ( as I said WD 40 did the trick ) and that when I pressed hard the ball came to the top of the tube and sealed it. I then filled it with water and until it overflowed and all was dry. This was 18 months ago and I have had no further water in the top of the tank.

Try it you might be surprised, the blue electrical plug that is also on top of the tank is for the sender that checks how much water is in the ank, and on mine it is completely fixed very tightly, no chance of a leak from there. Indeed if I found a leak from there it would be resealed in with silicone.
