That is really very sweet! The name could be altered slightly to resemble a big grin couldn't it. Is the 'hat' a folding roof or awning? Can't make it out.
I would never knock a Tabbert van, but I would worry about towing it down the M1 at 60mph with that roof - assuming you could get up to that speed on the M1!!. It could just take off and launch into orbit!
The eBay listing is 190448936123 - if you want to read the description you will need google translate as it is in German.
The 'hat' is a canopy that runs from end to end - a very popular accessory in Germany - and fortunately David, can be taken off so no problems on the M1

Thank goodness for that. But how the heck would you take the canopy with you? If you had to leave it at home, is it just really an alternative to a caravan cover over winter. Or perhaps, really, it's made for caravans pitched on a site in the alps over winter to save the weight of the snow on the roof? ........then again, I'm probably taking this all a little bit too serously.

It's canvas or a similar material braced along it's length with poles which are fixed to the awning rail each side - so it's all foldable.
As to use... haven't really found out yet - keeps tree muck off roof? Stops rain hammering on roof? your idea with the snow? Keeps the sun from heating the caravan up too much? Yes they are used all year round.
Ideas on the back of a tenner please addressed to me
