I wonder if anyone has experience of any of any of these awnings please. We need to buy a small porch for the odd weekend ! something quick & easy to put up.I have trawled the long list of possibilities & narrowed it down to following I quite like the look of the Eurovent space-lite Here .Looks fairly robust with the storm straps etc. Also would consider This & This .Any opinions would be great. Thanks in advance.

Personally I much prefer the sunncamp 260 style

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Sunncamp-Ultima-260-Plus-Burgundy-2009-Model-/380272096462?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item5889fbb4ce

I think there is more room in them. I know they are easy to erect and I have had mine up in surprisingly high winds without any issues.

Thanks for your reply...We do have the 260 for the main awning ! easy yes, but still takes a bit of time erecting ! do you reckon a smaller porch would take the same time as the 260 ? perhaps we should stick with the 260.

Hi David

Nice looking awning but look to large !

They do produce a smaller version (Kampa Fiesta 270).  Ours is a 350 - we're greedy for room!!

Whichever one you decide on, I would go and have a look at it 'in the flesh' first before you then scout around for the cheapest.  It will give you some idea of the quality, stability of the structure, how substantial the poles are etc.

Hope you get what you are looking for.

Best wishes.

Just read your comment here, stevo1.  We had the larger Sunncamp, some time ago, and found it a little awkward to put up with the 4 bent, lean-to poles).  We also had a 'Scenic plus' (like the first awning link in your initial post), which to be honest took us just as long as any other porch, for less room IMHO - that could be just us though!!  The only advantage of a smaller awning, in my opinion, is less pegs to put in.

Sadly, everyone will have their own opinion and some style of awnings suit different folk in different ways.  One of the things we like about the Fiesta is that the pole structure is 'similar' to a traditional awning, and we are used to putting up that type of awning.  One of the problems for me with the 'Scenic plus type awning' is that a lot of the pole work is higher up - having had 2 shoulder replacements, that is not my most comfortable position for working.  (After saying that, we had our 'Scenic' before the days of the shoulder problems and still found it a little awkward.)

We take all the side walls out of the Fiesta to put it up, which means less material to cope with, but we do then have to spend time zipping in before pegging out.  The smaller Fiesta may be easier to handle, so therefore it may be more viable to leave in the panels.  If you went down this route, you would still have an awning bigger than your current Sunncamp, but in my opinion, probably easier to put up.

Difficult choice - and I may not have been all that much help!  Hope you manage to sort out what you are looking for.  Let us know how you're doing.

Hi, we use a "normal" porch awning and it's also quick to put up & very sturdy in wind & rain, it takes us less than half an hour from getting it out of the bag to knocking the last peg in.

They're more expensive to buy new but you can get some real bargains 2nd hand.

Just the one pole around the front which you then tension by the pegging, no rear poles on this particular one.
Should take around twenty minutes at a push if its not windy

I've just bought the Rally Kampa 260 from Tenthire in Walsall, it's a factory second and cost me £150 insttead of rrp £269.   It was so easy and quick to put up, loads of space inside and 4 big windows.   A fantastic awning.
