I have just purchased a used Salou porch awning, fairly old (I think) due to the colours (Brown & Beige) but very well made and in tip top condition. One edge (and roof) fits to the vans awning rail and the other edge has a pole to stop it flapping against the van side.
On the interior of the edges, there are canvas 'tubes' attached to the awning, to take I think long sausage pad type things so the awning can fit snugly against the van and keep the draughts out. These didn't come with the awning, so I am attempting to make some myself. Problem is, I could do with a photograph of someone else's awning showing how these fit. For instance, do I slide the pole in the tube with the sausage pad, or does the pole sit outside of it?
I guess the instructions would show this arrangement (if I had some) and would appreciate a copy if anyone has a similar awning. There is no model name on the awning, just the word 'Salou'.
Many thanks in advance for your help.
