I would have expected them to have given you a idea date when you ordered it they usually do. If you don't find out from the dealer they may think your not in a hurry and you could have quite a wait.
In the meantime I expect they are sitting on your deposit! (hope you did not pay for it in full yet!). After three weeks which is a reasonable time I would ask them nicely but firmly for a 'firm delivery date' or you may ask for your money back as there are other makes of caravans and dealers. Agree with others they should have given you one when you ordered it!
My goodness, I wouldnt have left without a firm date (give or take a week) but then I'm not the most patient of people. I'd be on to them straight away!
------------- Enjoying caravanning, realising what an expensive hobby it is and spending the family’s inheritance before they can get their hands on it!
ok took your advise guys and 21st november it is going to be a long time coming then taking it to storage untill march thats why i was in no big rush but oh driving me nuts .
no not paid in full noot after hearing the horror stories on here and will not be doing so until we have fully inspected the van
No way could i pick up a brand new caravan and take it to storage until March! I would have to go away in it. Why are you not using it til March, whats the point in buying a new caravan and not using it for 4 months?
I have to agree with Lassie, by March your warranty will be 3 to 4 months in and you won't have even used it to see that everything is working as it should.
we normally do use it but due to work commitments we are done for the year so at least it will still be shiny and new for the start of the season and also saved on the vat is another factor
I won't order a van at this time of the year. As has been said above, 4-5 months of warranty gone before you use it in anger and if it is a new design van then some of the problems might have been ironed out by next spring. I would rather wait until then and find one that a dealer has in stock. The vat increase is only about £300 on a £15,000 van.
i am very aware of what firrence the vat makes as i am vat registered and know you dont just add 2.5% to the price and we will be saving a lot more than 300 and as we have the funds now and things can change we have bought it now and with past experience even new vans been out for a while have problems

Your van will be a 2010, if you don't need it until March get a 2011 model.....
Yes you are right. We have a 2008 Challenger but when I asked at a dealers what it was worth he asked me when it was built. I said 2007 but it was a 2008 model bought March 2008. Not sure if it actually made any differnce to the price?
