Thanks John, will compare with Snooper
Enid
The only thing I would say about the Snooper is that it doesn't show the speed limits but then I am not sure the Pronav does either. The Snooper has taken us all round France and the UK this year and definitely does not send us down narrow roads.
My Ventura tried to send me up sutton bank in north Yorkshire (caravan prohibited) worst £380 I've ever spent.I now use Tom Tom on iPhone and always plan route in advance.

Have you set it up right because if you don't it won't work for a caravan route? I found that out so reset the unit and have never had a problem. I don't even check the routes anymore.

Yes set up correctly, snooper have been aware of sutton bank issue for months and it still isn't fixed, also in my area some of the route planning is really poor taking you the long way around when there's no reason at all.
I have a Sat Nav (Tom-Tom) which I sometimes find useful if I'm driving on my own. If we're out as a family, I really much prefer a map - it helps keep my wife awake. I like an overall 'visual' view of my journey, if it's any distance, something which is not so easy to get with a Sat Nav. Just my opinion.
