It was very quiet on Wednesday and I don't think they were expecting it to be that busy at the weekend according to one of the salesmen I know well.

Don't see this show lasting into next year. The February one is far better with a lot more to see.

Have to agree the February one is a lot better, and they use halls one to five which makes it far easier to get around and larger halls , more to see with the boats being there as well , there is only so many motor homes to look at until you get sick of the site of them ,

I've only been to the October show. Can the February one be even bigger? The Welsh show in Cardiff would get lost in one of the stands at the NEC October show.

The Feb show is the one that's been going for years, the October one is fairly recent and still doesn't have the number of exhibitors  that the Feb show has.

I think it is quiet this year that it is due to the £19.50 Entry Fee I think a rip off.

                                                                                             Gingertom

I live next door to the NEC  and I did see quite a few Visitors turn around and leave. I dont think it is entirely due to the recession.

Well it wasn't too busy to be honest.  As we had the kids we gave the towing experience a swerve and didn't bother with the creche or kids zone as the kids were happy in and out of the caravans.

Came away happy in the knowledge that we still have the best caravan for us - OHs wallet gave an audible sigh of relief!!! Loved the new Elddis Avante 554 but not sure our kids would be happy about losing their end dinette though.

Very disappointed with Stealth nice idea but poor finish, there was a gouge out of wooden partition between the bed and the kitchen area, lots of excess silicone, rough edges to the corner shelves above bed, lockers didn't snap shut & remained open ajar, small narrow cupboard in kitchen had hinge problems when shut you could look down it and see the floor - didn't shut flush at all - shame really I expected better from their new models.  Roma was disappointing I expected (it not to be to my taste) to be wowed but same as Stealth really poor finishings not sure (if I was in the market) I'd part with £30k for anything other than perfection.  However, I was really pleased to see both makes in the flesh at last!!

So in the end didn't spend much at all, a few spares from Isabella, a waste water drain pipe style connector and an aqua roll insulation bag (plus a few cakes & nick nacks non caravan related) all in all a great day out!

We've been today too & all we bought was the 2010 Alan Rogers guide.

Did fall head over heels in love with the Hobby Prestige models tho.  They'll definately be contenders when we do eventually change but for now we're happy that none of the vans we saw today would be any better for us than the one we have.

We went on Thursday and like others we were surprised how quiet it was. The good thing about it was the fact that you could go where you wanted when you wanted without having to wait.
There were a few things we were disappointed about. The disabled car park was N1 which was quite a bit of a walk for the boss. Last year it was in what is now Hall 16 which is just across the road from the main entrance.
The other disappointment was how few tow cars were there.
