Hi Michael.
Certainly the branch at Alcester has an excellent reputation; although as with everything there's bound to be a few who've found the opposite.
In-laws have used them on several occasions and they've been most helpful at all times and spend valuable time with you at collection to make sure you're happy and comfortable with your purchase. We spoke with them about a van they had at their Daventry site and they even arranged to bring it over to our local branch for viewing (although it didn't suit us in the end).
By all accounts from those who I know to have used them, well recommended.

Have bought 3 caravans from Broadlane and they are most helpful. I would certainly recommend them and even though I have moved a long way away would still consider buying our next van from them if I could find what we want.
They are still Broadlane. Venture Caravans was another branch of theirs which has now gone off on its own. Family run business for years.
Go for it Michael. You won't regret it as far as service is concerned.
Broad Lane had 3 sites I believe and one of the co-owners has demerged into Venture Caravans at one of the sites. I have purchased a new van from them this year at Alcester and compared to my previous dealer they were a pleasure to do business with. I have never had a reason to go back for any warranty work so I cannot comment on that side of their business, yet!!!!
We bought our current van second hand from Broad lane at Alcester. We were very pleased with the transaction. They forgot to change an item from the old van and as soon as we pointed that out it was whisked away and dealt with with the minimum of fuss. The change-over was good. I would have no hesitation in going there again.
We bought from the Alcester branch at the NEC show in February and were very impressed with them. They took a lot of time to make sure we were happy with our purchase and the hand over was very comprehensive. Like others we haven't had any warranty work done so can't comment on that side of things.
They had 4 sites Rugby, Kennilworth, Alcester and A5 Daventry. I am using the Kennilworth site for warranty repairs even though I didn't buy the Caravan from them. They are a bit slow getting themselves organised but otherwise not bad.
The one on the A5 is now owned by one of the Brothers and is called Venture, I tried to get them to do the warranty repairs and they weren't interested.
I was told the Rugby Branch closed because is was too busy and they had no room to expand. I can't understand that reason though.

I bought my caravan from the Alcester Branch two years ago, the sales side was very good and everything was explained in detail. I have had cause to claim under warranty, and it did take time to sort the problem ( water ingress/damp), possibly due to finding exactly where the problem lay. However it was eventually sorted with no fuss and is now fine (touch wood). Servicing is a little on the pricey side, and they can get very busy, so book in early, but again no probs otherwise.

same as read caravans closing a too busy branch in leeds a strange thing in these times being too busy to expand and closing down cant make sense of it my self
I would be wary of using their Daventry branch which is now Venture Caravans.
Buying a new van was fantastic with them but unfortunately their servicing is very poor- my van was damaged (only minor damage in the main but not the point is it!!!) every single year it went in for a service!!! Final straw with BLC was when had minor sealant work for a tiny sealant hole on a window area- they managed to get sealant on the curtain and on the bodywork outside!!! Didn't discover until was washing it the following week.
Hoped for better when it became Venture and yes although not damaged, I didn't appreciate the oily foot prints on the mats nor the oily finger prints on the worktop!!! (maybe should have taken mats out but I know other places put plastic sheeting down)
It never felt that my van was treated with respect which when you have spent £13000 of hard earned cash is not good enough really me thinks. We live in Coventry and have now found a dealer out this way who appears to be good so far so fingers crossed!!
We bought a new van from them last year, and everything was briliant, couldnt do enough for us Until the money changed hands afterwhich they did not want to know. Was stitched up on the part ex. They fitted a power touch mover and I had to have powertouch refit it as it was not done properly and would not move straight. I also discovered that they charged me £300 to fit it.
Had to have waranty work done almost immediately, and they refused to provide me with any paperwork concerning the work done. I have reported misting of the windows and was told this was normal!!! Servicing is very expensive!
All in all, they rip you off with a smile on their faces. I will not be going back, and would recomenr that you steer clear.
