Went to one of our local dealers today and they have no new models and will only be getting them in January. They only had about 10 second hand caravans He said that no-one orders them this time of the year and that is why they won't have then 'til then. Is this common?
We went to our local dealer this afternoon - White Arches in Wellingborough and they are absolutely packed with 2011 Swifts, Bailey's and Sterlings. In fact their indoor showroom was so full lots of the new Swifts are outside with the second hand caravans ! Spent all afternoon dreamin' !

Went to the same dealer myself last weekend and got the same story, they have always had plenty of stock this time of the year previously so that does not ring true,if they had the new vans they would be open to trade ins. We have just returned from Highbridge where we collected our new van and they purchased 5 vans while we were waiting for the mover to be changed over from our trade in they have more then 50 s/h vans and about the same new, and plenty of customers looking around.

We wondered if they are on the verge of folding (if they are we wouldn't even consider ordering) or more going in the direction of motorhomes. As you say, we are sure they have had plenty of new vans in the past, also they only deal in one brand rather than 3 that we previously remember
