I think when stuff gets removed, its pretty obvious why. Threads that become arguments. Threads that are adverts or that are drawing attention to adverts. Threads that could be considered libellous, etc.
Its a pretty standard rule on any forum that you do not start threads about threads that have been removed. Disscussing removed threads/posts would just lead to more arguments.
A forum is not a democracy, it is run for the benefit of its' members, not by its members, so avoiding cliques/bullying.
In short, forum moderators need a free hand to moderate without feeling the need to explain their actions every time they feel the need to moderate the forum.
