When you part exchange a caravan at a dealers do you leave the battery in the van or is it something that you are ok to swap to the new van? 

Assuming there is an external water pump and hook-up lead with the new van, I take it that you leave these with the old van. 

Battery is in general not an original fitment so you keep that, EHU leads that are secondhand the dealer can not pass on so keep that. The water pump is essential for the van to work so stays with the caravan.

Last time We kept our battery. There was not one in our purchase. We kept our EHU & there was one supplied in the new to us purchase. EHU was new. We left the pump in our px and got one with our purchase.

If in doubt discuss with the dealer.

Our dealer "swopped " over our battery to our new van as well as doing the same for the gas bottles etc etc. All part of the new caravan handover.

Would have thought all dealers would do the same.
