After the story and photos of my holiday in Norfolk - posted on the motorhomes/campervans section - was quite a success I've decided to do a proper blog recounting my camping/caravanning holidays since I've been going it alone. It's now live on the internet and I've just finished day 2 - if anyone is interested in reading it you can find it at http://tigermousetales.blogspot.com/ though you'll have to scroll down to read the first day. Please feel free to add any comments if you wish.

I have put your blog in my 'favourites' so keep it up!!! Can't wait for your tales of Arisaig! I think it is a great idea and may well help other solo ladies 'take off'.
Well done!
Best wishes

Not yet Zorro, I've only just recently learned to tow and haven't had the opportunity to go out with it yet, but it will eventually be featured in more of my travels. It featured in one other holiday last year - again towed by someone else - but hopefully it won't be too long before I tow it myself.

Arisaig won't feature - yet. My trip up there was three years ago with my now-ex so doesn't count for this blog, but hopefully before too long I'll be up there on my own and it will be included.

I've just found time to read pages one and two properly (in the wrong order - yes, I know - should have read your OP properly!) and not unexpectedly, in view of your UKCS contributions, was impressed with the presentation, writing and photography.
Glad you like it Bob. I'm just putting the finishing touches to day 3. I think that must be the worst thing about a blog, the latest pages are at the top of the pile so to speak so you have to scroll down and read up from the bottom. I suppose it makes sense in a way but I'd much prefer to be able to start at the top and read down!

Well done Tigermouse! After camping for many years I found myself on my own with a 3yr old, rather than have no holidays at all I bought us a tent, packed my car and off we went to the coast for our holiday! I made my way up from a tent, trailer tent, folding camper and now a caravan. My 3yr old is now 14 and I have a partner to help but I tow the caravan (even went on a towing course) and I have been away with just my son and my mum and managed to sort everything out.
Your name will be featured in the next one Vanessa! lol
I was actually booked to go to Bridge House for the August Bank Holiday this year but as it's so near home I can go there any time so I changed my mind and went down to Cambridgeshire instead.
My camera is a Fuji S8100f bridge camera - somewhere between a normal digital and a digital SLR - and although it's not got the bells and whistles of a 'pro' camera it's got more than enough features to do what I want and does take good shots. It's got a very good zoom too, that's how I got the shot of the heron.

Great blog Tigermouse - I've 'favourited' it! Looking forward to more installments.
But I want to know where that bridge is - the one where the children were paddling in the river. I love those kind of spots - with dogs and children there is hours of entertainment in a shallow, paddly river!
Hi Cathy, I'm just this minute working on the final day of that holiday, which I should finish this evening. The bridge is actually the aquaduct which takes the canal over the River Brock just north of Bilsborrow, and there's an easy way to get to it without cycling all the way along like I did.
