We just live over the border in Carlisle and have been to Dumfries Caravans to have a look, it has the same owners as Carlisle Caravans on A7, we bought our Bailey and traded in our Elddis in Carlisle, down to earth people, very helpful and I felt they where genuine. Some of the 2nd hand vans seem a bit on the dear side, but they where good quality vans.
The man at Dumfries is always working away in the service centre but always ready to answer any questions, there is a shop with all you would be looking for and a huge range of new and used vans.
Hope that helps
Shirley

Apologies Shirley, I did think after I'd posted that people just over the border might well also use the dealership. Is their other place that you mention, the wee place just a couple of miles up the A7 from J44 of the M6?
Reactivating this post to ask the same question - I'm looking at a caravan from this place and wondered if anyone has any recent experience of what they're like. Cheers
I’ve not bought there but we did have a look round, pre Covid: if you search on Google maps you’ll see photos & the reviews there may be helpful.
You posted a few weeks ago about taking your caravan away in a few weeks (about now?), I hope you found a site that fits the bill.
We bought our Elddis Avante from Dumfries Caravan Centre in 2019.
One very minor problem that was repaired under warranty free of charge.
They seem good.
------------- We camped for years. In 2019 we bought an Elddis Avante 454. We like it as it is short (6.9m) and fits in our driveway and has a fixed bed.
We had 127 nights away in the caravan in 2023.
