Today we bought a mains adaptor kit for our Water Hog but we need some hose for the Waste Hog. What do other people use when on a serviced pitch? We've not used a serviced pitch before, any advice would be much appreciated.
I use normal hosepipe and connect it to a short length of waste pipe with some kind of reducer, I've used a small plastic bottle a few times with the bottom cut off.
If you have a good look you will find one that fits the hosepipe and the waste pipe.

Ive just got different lengths of standard waste pipe which i join together to make the perfect length of waste hose, try here or you can get the complete setup here.
Surely it depends where the drain is in relation to your caravan waste exit. If its directly behind your van then just use normal waste pipe and straight and 90 degree couplings to end the pipe in the drain. I doubt that it will be that straight forward so I would use flex pipe from your waste outlet into normal waste pipe so that you can manouver the pipe towards the drain.

Waste hose is available in any (reasonable) size from most good caravan/spares shops. We take a variety of different lengths in order to reach the waste drainaway, and if necessary we connect them together.
Hello David, thats what hubby said he would do - take a variety of different lengths as it is unknown how far the waste drainaway is. I was just interested to know what other people did.
Thanks everyone for your replies, much appreciated.
Take something to rest the hose on. I find that without creating an incline to the waste outlet the stuff tends to be trapped along the pipe and affects drainage from sinks!!! A kick on the way past moves the waste along!!!!!

Good point, Phil. But when kicking, careful not to dislodge the hose from the outlet on the side of the van - at the best of times ours comes off easier than if we'd liberally applied butter to it.
I Know David...sometimes I just lift up the drain hose to empty the water out of the hose...may as well just use a waste hog and drag it to the drain!!!! Just can't seem to get the drop from the waste outlet on the van to the drain right. I am thinking that maybe a more rigid system from the vans outlet to the drain may work better using plastic drain pipes. Seen a few vans with these which look so much smarter as well. Having said that we tend to use a fully serviced pitch only at Chatsworth so maybe I'll just put up with the niggle. Gives me something to do in the morning whilst the little lady is getting breakfast ready....

I know what you mean about the rigid drain systems - we could always add it to our list for 2011. Incidentally, all the best for 2011 and keep up the good work, Phil..
