Hi, if in doubt where to put them as not to interact against the existing one, contact CRiS or the manufacturer, and ask if this would be the case, if it is not,no problems, if it will, and they will not divulge location of chip, could try going to local police station with all your documents and your ID, and see if they will assist you in finding the chip with there detectors,or the may interceed with CRiS or manufacturer on your behalf to find chip location, this way will help reduce the risk of theives getting the location.when new ones fitted inform CRiS /Manufacturer of their new location. hope this helps.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.

Caravan security is very important, caravans and motor homes are expensive and this makes them prime targets for thieves. Approximately three thousand caravans are stolen each year, therefore this has encouraged insurance companies to drop their prices for people who improve their caravan’s security. Have caravan security locks fitted throughout and your caravan door security will be improved. Doors are the easiest way to enter a caravan for a thief not wanting to cause a scene, so make sure they have the highest level of caravan security you can afford.
to Improve your Caravan’s Security
Research the history of your caravan if you are buying one second hand.
To prevent the likelihood of thieves and improve caravan security pick a police approved secure park.
Fit a time switch to your lights so that it appears people are home.
Agree with neighbours to watch each others caravans for extra caravan security.
Lock your caravan at all times even if you stop briefly. Make use of caravan security locks instead of making it easy for potential thieves. Check caravan security by ensuring the windows, doors and roof ventilators are all locked.
Close your curtains to hide any valuables.
Keep photographs of your caravan inside and out, particularly any identifying marks with your caravan documents.
Mark the serial or chassis number many times inside the caravan. Have the VIN number etched on all of the windows this will improve caravan security.
Write the registration number on the roof of your caravan, this is very useful if the police are trying to track your stolen caravan by air.
Lock gas compartments or padlock gas cylinders to fixing clamps to improve caravan security.
Buy caravan security warning stickers and display them all over your caravan showing thieves that your caravan is registered and identifiable.
Caravan Security Products
Caravan Alarms – this caravan security device will prevent your caravan from being towed away or its contents being stolen. It will have a tilt motion and vibration sensor which will pick up motions associating with towing or hitching.
Tracking System – although expensive, tracking systems are a good caravan security sytems and a deterrent for thieves and therefore greatly improve your caravan’s security. If your vehicle is fitted with a tracking system then it is easy to track and recover when stolen.
Wheel Clamps – wheel clamps are reliable caravan security items, they can be removed by thieves but this takes time and there is a higher chance of them being caught. Your insurance company may require you to have one of these as a minimum caravan security requirement.
Electronic Tagging – if you have a caravan built in the UK after 1998 then your vehicle will already have one of these inbuilt. These caravan security tags are concealed so thieves cannot find them and they greatly help the recovery of vehicles.
Hitch Locks – caravan security that is often required by your insurance company, hitch locks will stop your caravan being coupled up easily by thieves. They can also be fitted with tamper alarms.
Security Posts – present obstructions to a thief that slow him down, hammer posts into the ground so they are solid, this will be an almost impossible hurdle to overcome andwill imporve caravan security.
