Has anyone experienced poles splintering on the Encore 390.  Third time out and the canopy pole splintered badly, needs a new one.

I had a few poles splinter on my smaller awning, they can fracture if stressed by high wind and even weaken without you fully realising, then break at next use.

I found TentSpares to be excellent in the supply of replacements.

Mine came with spare sections.  A bit of a fiddle re elasticing but if you thread a large needle and drop it through the sections then attach the elastic and carefully pull through. Its not too bad.
