Never used serviced pitch before but long term stay in teh summer only has serviced pitches. What Max/ min length of waste pipe will we need ? Any other tips ?
Thanks

Never regret anything that at the time made you smile.
I bought 10 metres and several connectors to join bits together. Quite often, the pipe won't drain very well if coiled under the caravan due to the height of drain at some sites so I usually cut it to the exact length or join a couple of bits together.

It all depends on where your caravan's drain outlets are, and the distance your drain outlet is from the pitches drain.
On most Caravan Club Sites, I usually only use a 1 metre length, but on the Continent I have used 25 to 30 metres. If I was you I would buy 30 meters, then cut 2x10 metre lengths off it, then split the remaining 10 metres into something like 3 and 7 metre lengths, I then carry several inline joining connectors plus a 90 degree bend to go into the drain if need be. That way you will never be stuck

Our tourer days are over and we have moved on to a Hobby Motorhome
I bought a length of pipe equal to the length of my caravan + one meter, then bought several connectors and cut the pipe to various diferent lengths so that I could mix and match.
No two full service pitches are laid out the same so you need to be able to ring the changes. What you don't want, IMHO, is one long length of pipe. This just fills up and is very slow to empty.
I do as others have said and carry a selection of different lengths of pipe and join them together using these.
Also, if you havent used a serviced pitch before you may need one of these.
Been on many different all service pitches in this country and so far the longest waste hose ive used has been about 6 metres, but i carry excess just in case.
