going by whattowcar.com my Swift Fairway 390 and my C4 1.6hdi berline are a 81% mach,  but the c4 has a noseweight of 66 kg and on my bathroom skales the nosewight is 70kg  will the extra 4kg make much of a dif.

Our older caravan an Abbey 360 was smaler but by whattowcar it was a 79kg mach and towed great behind the C4  at 35mpg towing and 58.8mpg solo  with 4 adults and a dog on board.

But the back went down on the c4 to much so we are fiting mad springs on it soon. we have not tryed to tow the swift as yet but have towed a few smaller caravan before with no probs,  our Swift Fairway 390 plate states 1000 kg  payload 165kg. We have changed the 2 red heavy gas cil for the lite type so hopefully this will help the nose weight

The noseweight can vary depending on the sort of ground you way weigh it on. The scales may not even be that accurate, so on that basis, no it won't make much difference.

Quoted noseweight figures are a guide to prevent overloading of car rear axle & if you got pulled they would weigh rear axle, not noseweight.

Hi abbeyex360

We are about to buy a 1997 Fairway 390 but it doesn't have the user manual. could you let me know what the tyre pressure are for yours if its around the same age. I know this is interupting your thread and apologise for this but any info would be a great help. We have joined the camping and caravaning club and look forward to trying out sites in north wales. One of our favorites when we camp is on Anglesey at Home Farm a great site. Best Regards Kevin
