I suspect any offered in the UK were built for the continental market.
It follows from this that by UK standards it could be "basic", not to be confused with poor quality. By and large the continental buyer prioritizes different aspects than the UK buyer and this reflects in the equipment levels often found in their vans. No oven, three burner hobs and often no battery and associated charging system being examples.
The exception of course proves the rule and some German vans are gobsmackingly opulent, but LMC are I think fairly regarded as a "value" brand.
So the only guidance I can give is to make sure the specification with regard to what it has fitted is really what you want. The build integrity is likely to be quite high.

Hi Thanks for your help, the advert does sound OK and there is an oven, grill etc but we've decided to stick with the UK caravans especially if anything goes wrong

LMC are usually good spec, large ones popular with the travelling community. Probably better constructed than UK built 'vans, so buy with confidence if you are ok with right hand door. Servicing is no problem, any UK caravan service place can do them.

Hi Hellen,

Dont listen to the opinions of people who have never owned an LMC.I would not advise on the pros and cons of a van i had no experience with.

I owned an LMC for 7 years and in my opinion the Pro's are:

Very solid build superior to British made vans. Can be used all year due to excellent insulation.Used for winter use in the mountains as they have underbed hot tanks, water tank inside etc

The interior spec depends on which model you choose.Upholstery is good.

Came with a 5 year guarantee including water ingress

Superb towing stability.

My van was built in Germany but extras were fitted by my LMC dealer.

In recent years vans have been built for the UK market but they have never done much promotion

I never had problem with my van throughout the time i owned it

Cons:High insurance cost and difficult to obtain i used Saga.

There is a problem with theft they are very desirable to some groups.

To get a model with usual British accessories is expensive. They are basically  a mains electric van and 12v interior is extra.Because of the solid build they are heavy and need an appropriate tow vehicle.Because they are used by travellers some sites wont accept them.

Spare parts are expensive and are imported from Germany.

I dont know who the dealers are now.I bought from Continental Caravans who were main LMC dealers but have now moved into motorhomes.

If you think of buying one check your running costs/towcar  first

Terry

We have a geist, its basically an LMC labelled as a Geist for the uk market, even has LMC on the wheels and owners manual.,
We have had 5 caravans since caravanning and without a doubt our Geist is the best one,
Nothing we have ever seen since getting it (other than a 25k hymer) would tempt us away,
Its well built, spacious, and is incredibly warm in the winter. Ours has even stood up to our 4 kids all under 6 without anything even so much as giving a squeek,
We love it, nothing any uk manufacturers have bought onto the market would convince us to buy anything other than a german van again, (and our last van was a 2007 swift that was riddled with problems from day one.)

I know you're not interested any more but just to continue Gaz's post - we have a Geist as well (slightly different model) and it is full UK spec (oven, heating, full electrics etc), door on the left and getting insurance was no problem at all (got a quote from all 3 companies I called).

LMC are brand of choice with the travelling community and therefore, some holiday sites will not accept them.
