Found my old thread and had a re-read. How time flies. 5 Year ago.
Well since then I found "The Sleeper" Teardrop, bought one, enjoyed it, then bought the comany, made a few, then sold the company due to the spine deteriorating over time.
Still got my (now) Ruby Red Trike and matching Sleeper.
Just thought I'd correct some of the issues I found over the past few years.
Trikes are very limited in their towing weight, so caravans are out of the picture. Solo bikes in the UK have special towing rules which virtually takes out anything other than a small trailer. There is a folding camping trailer which is within the law for solo bikes.
What we are still looking for in order to start a full restoration project is a Trident Companion, which is a very small Trailer/Camper/mini caravan. Made in the 80's, the moulds have been destroyed (as I found the original manufacturer who verified this).
Anyone wanting to know more about Teardrops can drop in on www.TCGB.org which is a UK Forum set up to promote Teardrops and Micro Units.
So keep your eyes open for anything that looks like a miniature caravan, and bares the name Trident (Companion)
------------- They said "Smile, things could be worse"
so I smiled..........and things got worse.
I am a true descendant of the Hobbits.

I'm selling my 5' x 9' part finished Woody.
18mm ply floor is fixed to an Alko caravan chassis, walls are 12mm ply ready to be lined, kitchen cabinets are in the initial stages. No roof as yet
Interested?
£400 as it is with some extras such as steadies, lights etc.
e-mail me - peter.jones2 at ntlworld.com for more pics.
Note price is not negotiable - thats what its cost me in wood, varnish and screws etc. If it doesn't go soon - it'll be Ebay fodder as I'm moving house soon. When completed, these babies sell on Ebay for £1000+
Looks similar to the red 'un but bigger and made of wood! - and its not finished.....
