Looking to change caravan but can not find one with normal double bed at the front and 2 singles, with one of the singles at least 6ft 5in long. Swift and Lunar single beds are two small, been on caravan finder with no luck
any suggestions (ive tried standing in the rain havent shrunk yet)
fed up of making up the front bed every night (pain)
island beds are brill but to short for me
This Hobby appears to have front singles over 7ft long. All these caravan are the, now legal 2.5mtres wide but are all under 7mtre body length so legal to tow with a car.
My OH is 6'7'' tall and we have been searching for a van that he can stand up in, with a fixed double bed and fixed bunks of a decent size.
We have ended up going for an imported van from Italy, a Rimor 530-6 Polaris. It has 1,99m headroom, a huge double bed at the front and fixed bunks which are over 2'6'' wide and either 1.9m or 2.2m long.
They do other layouts as well which may suit you better. 3 Counties Caravans in Malvern are the sole importers. We are from the Wirral too so a bit of a trek to see one but worthwhile in our opinion. They are exhibiting at the Manchester show this weekend but I don't think that they will have our model there.
Thanks for all your replies, i will be honest i didnt think of the models suggested in the replies. some of them are very very good in their layout and bed size.
you have given me something to think about thanks
We faced the same problem when we decided to buy a caravan, and found the Burstner Belcanto fitted the bill. I don't know why English caravans have such short beds - surely as a race we're no shorter than Germans!

Our Hymer (530 TB) has 2 single beds which are bigger than you require! These single beds are fixed (at the front end of the van) and fully sprung like beds at home, which is just the ticket for our 2 teenagers.
We are relegated to the double bed at the rear end, which is also a good size.
Perhaps Germans are taller??? Anyway, we find the fixed single beds arrangement is ideal.
We are off to the Manchester Caravan show today and have noticed that Rimor caravans are bein displayed. Its said the these Italian caravans have bigger beds so i'm interested to have a look - my hubby is 6'4" so we need longer beds and standing height inside.
