After returning from the Mcr show caravanning is on our minds and we are thinking back to our hols last year. On those gorgeous evenings, sat outside when the wine is flowing and/or if a parent of youngsters like us, & the kids are tucked up in bed - if any - what games do you play?
We have the stalwart Yahtzee and its great but sometimes I get a little nervous about how noisy it can be.
Then we have cards
But I would love to add to our 2 player games for next season - any ideas?!
Are we odd? We don't play games! If the weather is good we sit out and enjoy cooking (whilst having a little tipple) and then eat. Walk the dogs after eating and sit out again and CHAT to each other!
When we had the kids with us we played cards mostly.
------------- If you're not on a fell your wasting your feet and for 2014 it's.......Feb Castleton Mar North Yors Moors; Apr Sutton on Sea; May Thirsk; Jun Clapham/Riverside (Lakes); July Wharfedale; August Crakehall; Sept Knaresborough; Oct Wirral Park/Clitheroe

Just because people play games sometimes doesn't mean they don't chat too. Sometimes we play games, sometimes we chat, sometimes we are too drunk to do either ! We don't play games all the time ! It's not either or !
And sometimes we even watch TV - Heaven forbid !!!
We generally play cards when the kids are in bed, we have little travel monopoly which is great and the kids have travel guess who,
I also always take a little plastic case full of crayons, colouring posters/books and pencil sharpener and things and that keeps the kids amused when getting ready to go out.
------------- Never take life seriously. Nobody gets out alive anyway.
We have a game called Rummikubs which is excellent. You do need a table to play at though as you spread out lots of numbered tiles. We would really recommend it as an alternative to scrabble.
The kids had a big box of stickle bricks. We would take turns to pull three blocks at random and see what you could make. The more refreshment you had the more creative you became.
------------- Tomorrow never comes, yesterday never leaves and it is always today
We love games so the traditional ones - Yahtzee, Monopoly, Trivial Pursuits, cards, and dominoes are amongst the favourites. We also love a couple of newer games - Blokus and Zigity - both lots of fun!
------------- Best Wishes and Happy Travels,
