It was mentioned in previous post about cleaner fluid for the water system. Is this something alot of you practice and if so how often should I do it?

Supermarket own make cheap loo roll is best to take as this breakds down easier. Don't pay for the 'proper camping loo roll as the above is almost the same

Generally before every trip Peter, especially during the summer when after draining the system following a trip, you will still always have some moisture in the pipes, which in the warmer weather can go stagnent in the pipes in a few days.

You dont want to look forward to a holiday for ages, only to go down with a bit of gut rot when drinking water from your van.

I normally give the system a good clean with a stronger solution at the beguining of the season, then a weak solution throughout the year between trips.  A tub normally lasts a season.

A few campers I know dont drink water from the caravan system, prefering run a seperate bottle in the van for drinking, and then just use the water from your barrel for washing hands etc.

I change the filter on the water system every year aswell, though some leave this for longer.

 Hi

a couple of suggestions for caravaning must haves are 1 = a good bottle of wine & glasses, to celebrate going from tent to caravan & a bit more comfort,

2= more money to fuel the car, owing to less MPG
