Need to starting sorting out our new van, but wondered what you keep in yours? Do you have one set of kitchen stuff and just transfer it all across from your house? Do you keep bedding in it, or will it get cold and musty?

We keep a complete set of kitchen stuff and crockery in our van. We also keep bedding and towels but they live in a sealed storage box to avoid any damp in the air.We also have waterproofs and boots in the wardrobe in case the weather turns suddenly

Hi we have a separate set of kitchen stuff, a melamine dinner set but big normal mugs - can't be drinking my tea out of melamine!  We have caravan utensils, pans and cutlery.  These all stay in the van year round.  We bring all the bedding and even (much to my annoyance) all the seating cushions and mattresses -  I can't wait for the season to begin again to regain some space!  Basically anything that may get damp or trap moisture has been removed apart from the curtains.  The only other thing in there is a storage box full of the kids caravan toys - we left them in there so that they will feel new to them again when we go away next.

Everything we need to go away apart from some food, clothes and towels.  We also keep plastic table and chairs and awnings but tend to take them out for short trips.

Oh and the beer and wine fridge - but we only use that in France.

Tend to leave van "ready to go" with full kitchen set, cups, pots, pans, glassware (and plastic variants), bedding and outdoor clothers in van. Have awnings, porch and full, and outdoor tanle, chairs etc stored at home as they travel in car.

We keep everything that will go with us every time.  So, kitchen stuff (van has it's own pots n pans, cutlery, dinner service etc...), toiletires in bathroom cupboard, haidryer & straighteners (it'd kill my holiday if I didn't have them ) etc...  Then we have wastemaster & aquaroll.

In the front locker we keep a selection of stuff like nose weight guage, pegs, mallet, levellers, gas bottle etc...  Wellies live permanently in the wet locker (as long as they're clean & dry when we pack up), walking shoes, slippers & waterproof coats inside.  Towels & bedding are in a sealed bag inder the front seats.

The only things we need to put in before we go away are whichever awning we're using, table & chairs (if needed), cadac (if needed) & our clothes.

We keep all the kitchen stuff in we also keep a set of toiletries in. Bedding and basic foods eg pasta beans are left in over the summer season. Games chairs and awning  table left in all year round. Keep the awnings in the garage and take porch or full depending where we are going. Try to leave as much as possible in the van as it's in storage and we find it easier to grab our clothes and go! been away once/twice a month since we got it last spring love it.

We leave everything in the caravan apart from bedding and pillows during the winter months and pull back the cushions away from the side walls to allow air to circulate and prevent any mould patches forming from damp. If you have somewhere to store the cushions at home during the winter months then better still. People have said what they keep in their caravan but there are also items NOT to keep in the caravan under the seats or low cupboards during the summer months as well. These items are anything that will attract field Mice such as slippers, towelling, socks, string, paper or anything they would find to create a nest as comfort for bedding. Also anything that's edible such as doggy chew sticks or biscuits because if they find bedding plus a storage of food they will make a permanent home and breed quite fast too. It's a good tip to learn as a lot of people find out the hard way when they return to find destruction whereby Mice have chewed on wooden structures, knawed at polystyrene insulation around the hot water tank or ripped open upholstery to add to their bedding. One piece of good advice is to purchase a battery operated rodent repeller which is not evident to the human ear but is an effective humane deterrent to rodents without the use of traps to destroy them. When returning the caravan to the storage we always set the device when we will be absent for a short time as prevention is better than cure as they say. We have had the experience of Mice in the past and the rodent repeller appears to be working okay. I bought mine off Ebay for around £12 but worth every penny if it saves your caravan from becoming a target for rodents.

We keep the aquaroll and wastemaster in the caravan along with a bucket and a few other bits in the gas locker.
Most of the camping kit is in the campervan and we just transfer it when we get on site.

I think we pretty much have a full set of stuff for the van, other than OH's tool kit!

Over winter we take the bedding into the house, and when the van goes for service we have to empty out anything that might get in the way.

We never take out the crockery or pots though.

We don't leave any food or clothes, towels etc over winter.
