Hope you enjoy your first trip Gill.

We were hooked on ours - it helped that it was July and the weather was raosting!  We learned a lot though and now love caravanning to bits -  it's so relaxing!

Very good choice Gillian you cant beat surf city,  Shaws hall is a few miles out of town in a quiet location if you head toward Southport on the main road there is a carvery on your left at the first set of traffic lights people say its very nice, personally I much prefer the Heatons Bridge inn which is just a walk down the canal from Shaws and its a very nice pint and the food is (was) very good

I am sure you will love being away in your own 'tin can'.  We can't wait to be back in ours. Not met anyone who is not willing to help so hope the same happens to you. I think we just remember back to when we were off for the first time and the questions we had.
