I have the round push button type cupboard locks on my Geist and one of them has managed to get stuck in the locked position over the winter. When I click it, it comes out a little way, but wont go any further and the door remains locked. I don't want to force it - has anyone had this and how did you resolve it - do they unscrew?
spray some WD40 via the tube into and around button and keep pushing gently should free up. ensure to wipe away any residue spray at once. once its open remove take apart and clean away oil with kitchen towel then apply silicone spray or a little petroleum gel or renew if U/S
if you can reach in to the catch from another door/draw spray that also.
other option is to force it open and hope the plastic gives before the door structure.
Good Luck

Try applying pressure on the door near the button as you press the button. I don't know how these catches work, but I had to do this to open a door in a caravan I was looking around.
Hi JenniferB, If the above soloutions do'nt manage to free it , try to move van a little to level it, as boby can flex a little, moving it takes the pressure of lock, usualy works with my van, then you can access the locks and lubricate them. hope this helps.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
Try the WD40 method first and see if releases the catch. If it doesn't then try a sink plunger with a small rubber sucker at the end. Press on to the door then give the plunger a good shove. It's amazing what a plunger will shift. I haven't tried this myself but it's just a mere thought and I think that is what I would attempt if all else fails. The internal spring may have jammed and some pressure might just shift it. Good luck anyway and hope you have some success.
