No kids - Troutbeck CC site..........  and you can wander up Blencathra from there, then a ride into Keswick from where you can have a good old day out wandering up Skiddaw. Drop down the hill to Ulswater for a trip on the boat

a bit busier, and maybe better with kids, would be the C&CC site down on the lake just past the Supermarket in Keswick

We're off the Meathrop Fell later in the year, south west of Kendal, which has had some refurbishment over winter I understand. Not been there before but anticipate that it will be a quiet site down in that location

Low Mansty is in a wonderful setting. You can just wander up on to Catbells from there and if feeling energetic turn left at the top and ramble over to High Spy and on into Honister Pass and then wander back via Castle Crag. A great day out.

Easier ramble from the site would be a walk around Derwent

Down side - Manesty has no loos and the road through Grange takes you over a hump back bridge and if you have a motor mover hanging down it may just hit the road.
