The number at the beginning referes to the date the chassis was made, the rest of the caravan may be a bit newer due to the time the chassis was stored awaiting to enter the assembly line. my old Coachman had a number starting with 95, but actually was the model released during the winter of 96/97, with the following seasons fabrics and decals, so actually a 97 season's van.
in the reverse the Zenith has a 2006 plate, but all the price guides and insurance look-ups for it state that no 4 berth Zeniths were made after 2005, With further detective work by our insurance company, it turns out that our van was a dealer import of Lunar stock from Belgium, and indeed was manufactured over there in 2006.
