We are looking to get a lightweight fixed bed caravan, we saw the Sprite Alpine 4 at the NEC at the weekend............just wondered if anyone had experiences with Sprites, are they good quality build etc
They have the same body build quality as the most expensive swift group vans, but less features. You can always get poor examples of any make. Have been pleased with ours so far, but have only had it since October.

We have had our 2010 Sprite Major one year now and with 18 trips it has had a fair bit of use. We have had a few issues which were covered under warrenty but no more problems than other people seem to have with other makes. We love our Sprite and have paid for nothing that we wont use. Compared to some vans it is not the height of luxury but thats not what we wanted anyway and we didnt want to pay for luxuries that were wasted on us. We find it very comfortable and everything works well - i believe the equipment / features are the same as in other Swift group vans. From my experience I would definately recommend Sprite and they are great value for money.
Had a new sprite quattro FB back in 2009 after 9 months it had damp reading of 40% in the rear wall . The sprite differ from the rest of the swift group vans as they use 2 piece rear panels, the aluminium is supposed to be bonded to the fibreglass bottom panel . I was offered a new replacement by the dealer but unfortunately it had the same fault .A bit worrying really & a shame is it was a great layout , lightweight & had decent equipment levels .
I'm not sure if this is still the way they build the back panel since the new range was relaunched in 2010 as i'm sure ours is one piece- our damp report has just come back following the service and has no damp anywhere. You do get 6 year warranty on the body like other vans.
We're happy with our Sprite too. As Kate says we didn't want to pay for all the extras that we wouldn't use. We just want comfort and functionality. We've had it nearly a year now and the only problem has been one of the locks on the battery door not working properly. Our previous van was a Swift which we had for 20 years without any major problems.
really pleased with it and as others have already said it has the features we wanted, not what they wanted. so we use it to its full, and dont want any other bits in it.
ours has had quite a lot of use, and has only needed a new front window and a ceiling blind, both done under warranty.
no issues with it really other than with the dealer, but that seems to be the usual story.
We would happily buy another sprite if they did the right layout at the time.
