Just wondered which is the best to use out of these on a super pitch ,The Whale Aqua Source that plugs into the side of the van or The Aqua Roll Mains Adapter which fits inside your 40ltr Aquaroll and works like a ballcock.
Thankyou in Advance for any replies xx
I have read of several incidents where fittings have become detached from within the caravan when an Aqua Source has been used and I witnessed this occur to a neighbouring van at Bardsea last year.
For this very reason I'd only use the Aquaroll type.
We use the aquaroll type and use the van all year so i can take the pipe out of the aquaroll and store in the van overnight then atleast you still have half the aquaroll to use if the main water pipe freezes.
We had the aquasource on the old van and it was fine i just used to turn the tap off when we went out i think the newer ones are better than the first ones out, shower was ok too i have one for sale as i now need the truma version
I've got the Truma version and so far I have never had a problem with it. I do turn it off at the tap when I am not in the van and in freezing conditions I revert to the aquaroll with an insulated cover and a couple of hot water bottles to keep it warm. On the job list is the installation of a small onbard tank to fit under the sink for use when an aquaroll may freeze. I use the direct connection far less than I expected as I tend to stay on sites without fully serviced pitches or suitable taps in reach. I have thought about getting a second hose and pressure reducer to extend the distance I can reach and to have redundancy should one of the pressure reducers fail. Has anyone else tried this?
