We are looking for a van with long front seats to use as single beds and then either L shaped seating at the back or the two benches facing each other. We are limited to looking under 1400kgs laden.

So far have spotted the Lunar Zenith 5, Bailey Pageant Auverne and Sprite Major 5. Does anyone know of Swift, Elddis, Coachman and  other models that have this layout.

Any help much appreciated, looking at 2nd hand max budget 7.5k.

Most 5 berths with this layout have front benches that are 5'11" or 6' long so can be used as singles.  It's the bathroom & kitchen that are shorter than in the heavier vans (wet room as opposed to sep shower cublicle).

Coachmans tend to be heavier - the 2009 5 berth we've just traded in was 1590 kilos.

ours is as you describe a bailey 500/5 its 1272 kgs MTPLM.front seat are not too long so check these. 

I also would suggest taking a tape measure with you when you go to view, some front seets can be quite deceptive to the eye, and if you need them to be full sized single beds lengthwise, its best to check, a lot of them can be around 5ft-9ins and no good for tall adults.

On the second page there's a 5 berth Coachman Amara 500/5 but I'm not sure they have the weight right at 1375kg.  We have a 2001 version of this (looks very similar) and the weight is 1400kg. The layout works well for a family of 4 and will be even better when we can use it as a 2 berth:)  Front beds are about 6ft long which the teenage lads use.

We also liked the Lunar Quasar but they were still quite new and over our budget...good size beds though.

We have an Avondale dart 510-5. L shape rear with short double and a kids bunk over the top. Front makes up to a double but is a bit short for 2 adult  single beds  .
