After a season of using the childrens sleeping bags from tentingt I've decided I'm going to cut down a large duvet and make the children their own bunk duvets. Sleeping bags were ok - whilst the kids stayed in them, but anyone with the triple bunk layout and wriggly children will understand that climbing up to the top bunk with little headroom to try and put a sleeping child back into their bag is a tricky manoeuvre!!
Sooo the rear bunks are around 65cms wide - I'm thinking of getting a kingsize duvet cutting it into two and then cutting down a couple of girl & boy single duvet covers with a continuous pattern or plain pattern and just running up the edges with my sewing machine.
Im thinking the width of the duvets should be around 100cms so they cover them well is that enough do you think?
What tog duvet do you think I should get them do you think - is 4.5tog warm enough or 10 tog too warm.
Anyone done this already - anything I should be considering before I race off to Dunelm Mill???
