Well I don't waste any time. I have been to Dunelm Mill bought the duvet and the duvet covers and finished the childrens bunk duvet sets already!
It was pretty simple really, I got a kingsize duvet and cut both out 108cms wide to allow for seams, then as the bunks are only 171cms long I took 25cms off the length and ran a seam down the side and bottom on my sewing machine.
I then put the resized duvet into their covers and pushed it to one edge of the cover and to the bottom and cut down one side and across the top (rather than the bottom because of fasteners) to fit. Ran up seams and bingo - perfect fit - it worked well be cause the press studs were spaced nicely so no gaps when fastened.
I don't mind the kids having their own choice duvets i.e pink hearts and blue cars as they were so thrilled with them when finished & can't wait to use them. So with their new duvets & Andi's sheep fleece covers to their dinette in the rear they've got a great area to call their own now!!!
I've put a few pics in my gallery as I have no idea how to post them!
