Just had our Peggy in for its first service and a couple of minor warranty adjustments.

 Had a call from the tech telling me the water pump was kaput due to frost. Can't be done under warranty so £89!

We drained the system as per the handbook but there must have been a bit in it. (No problems last year with same system on a Pageant). Yes it has been very cold!

 The tech told me they had replaced several pumps so far-and expect to sell more parts when folk get their vans out!

They also checked the loo pump that is fine.

He suggested blowing down the tap to get all water out!

 At that price I might take it out before overwintering!

But van all ready to go,excellent service from Cosford Cravans as usual!

 Weather looks ok so may use it locally at he weekend before putting it away!

So check your water system folks or puddles may result!

If your van is within 3 years old then this will be covered by Thetford warranty and if you contact your dealer or a Thetford approved service centre, they will be able to replace this free of charge.

The actual body of the pump has been reinforced so once fitted it shouldn't happen again.

I saw this device at the NEC, gets all the water out of the system after draindown. After having a cracked pipe myself I think it's a good idea, maybe just a tad on the expensive side.

Has anyone got a picture of the old type or the later reinforced one so we can see which one we have installed in our units?

Where does this crack occur, inlet, outlet or either?

not sure which toilet you have look here.there is a note at the bottom that mentions freezing.

Thanx for that Michael, mine is a C250CWE which may or may not have been uprated.

Do we know if this is the image of an uprated one? and where abouts does it hide in the unit, is it accessable from anywhere to have a butcher's?
