Hi all. First it started as a tent, then a Pennine Folding camper and now the camping bug has ending up me purchasing a LMC Munsterland Tourer. It is an old model judging by the style of the interior and as it's foreign I can't make out the year or length on A frame/Chassis plate. She is a lovely watertight(ish) van but can anyone tell me anything about her as no manual came with her. There is a built in watertank somewhere but I can't quite figure out how to refill/drain it and also the gas compartment looks very small to house a gas bottle for a van this size. If anyone could shed some light on this or maybe point me in the right direction with any info about my oldish foreign lady it would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks Sarah.

Hi,

I had a LMC Dominant 2003 model German built version. If yours is old it will be German so door will be on "wrong side".

My onboard tank was on the opposite side to the door, next to an access door to the underbed storage area. The filling was by a round cap(like an old car petrol filler) and it was lockable.Just rotate the cap to release and pour the water in by hose, watering can whatever your choice there was no Whale type pump.

The LMC vans kept their basic frame for many years just adjusting interiors to suit fashion. If you look at www.lmc-caravan.com and services there are downloads of layouts back to 2008.

www.mobile.de are dealers in old vans and may have something similar use google to translate.

Barring that go along to your nearest traveller/gypsy site and ask them they are the experts on these vans.

There is or was a dealership in the Northeast but i cant recall the name.

The Vin plate should be in the gas locker and also on the chassis underneath the van at least it was on mine.

Hi Tentz I will try and post a few pics in next day or so and Terry, yes the door is on the 'wrong side' and I have seen a petrol type cap next to a small locker. Thanks so far for your help.

LMC also made Geist vans (like mine), although they've stopped now. The official Geist dealer may be able to help, or try Gary at Elite caravans (where I got mine from).

Great name for a van, though...

Just came across this posted topic by Sarah (witcheshat). Am getting interested in a similar caravan (LMC Munsterland Tourer, 2-3 persons) and wondering what information was found? Pretty small pool of info on the jolly old interweb and LMC are now only interested, it seems, in shiny new models. Would you mind, Sarah, giving me of your knowledge - with a moniker like yours I'm sure I'm talking to the right gal! Many thanks in advance, Brian.

I saw one of those on Autotrader recently. It looked epic!

Post up pics at some point.
