I have recently sent a letter to the Camping & Caravanning Club 'Forum' mentioning this so I'm just waiting to hear from them to see what their reply is and to see if it gets published in due course in the Forum section of the club magazine. Personally, I think it would be a money spinner actually for both the major clubs as there is very little competition offering this service and would be a huge benefit for the members who are unable to clean their caravan, especially those kept in storage.

I've never done the roof (gawd knows what state that is in ) but we're booked on a couple of full service pitches this year, so I'm going to buy a long-handled brush and give it a decent going over. I'm going to try do the roof by standing on the caravan steps with my head through the main rooflight - not sure if that's going to work but will give it a go...

i do this for the central part of the roof.

I can feel an Alcatraz caravan washing party coming on! I reckon we should put some pressure on the owners actually - as David has said, we pay enough. Incidentally, have you fellow Alcatraz users had mice problems? We have, something terrible. nothing worse than arriving on site to discover your duvet has been eaten!!

Fort Knox never occurred to me at the time - the big gates just reminded me of Escape from Alcatraz!!

Apologies for changing the subject of caravan washing but I just had to get this one in with reference to the previous post. We had a mouse once living in our caravan but since I installed one of these We haven't had any problems at all.

Apologies for the hi-jack!  Never ever had a mice problem - up to the end of Feb.  We're in Row F.  OMG - What have I just said!!!  I'll have to go up tomorrow to check.

Ooo David - you can wave at Bertha in Row D. you can spot her really easily, she's the Abbey Cabaret in between 2 Swift Challengers! And dead shiny, due to being washed last weekend.

Our mice seem to have done the decent thing and left. Hope they haven't moved to Row F!

Tell you what else Alcatraz needs. Rubbish bins and a loo. Mind you, I'm a girly.....

Checked out Bertha this morning, Philippa - looks lovely.  Glad we're not next to you - you'd show us up at the moment.  No mice for us, thank goodness.  Since I last went up, they have provided us with new 'wooded squares' to rest the jockey wheel on (replacing the rotten boards they took up some time ago.  No sign of a tap or toilet though!!  In fact, I had to do the 4 gates on the way out.

I'll try not to go off topic again.
