Well we went out with van first time and lost our keys!!!! Well it's not a cheap fix new lock £116 new alarm fob £50 alarm emergency override£35 locker key£2-50
These new folding keys can not be cut so we are told by the dealer from elddis wouldn't be such a huge problem if we did not need to leave a spare set at the wardens where our seasonal pitch is invade of alarms in night etc
So don lose these new fancy keys it is very expensive!!!!
Hi simon23, Ouch that is expensive, and first trip out, must be gutted, Hope you find them before you have to order new set( if you hav'nt done so already), I used to carry keys in my zipper jacket pocket(quite shallow) and they kept falling out and down side of car seat, now have watch like chain that clips onto my belt, its long enough to reach and open van door, without taking the keys of the ring, And I do same as in takisawa post above with the keys.
------------- If everything runs smoothly then I must have done something wrong
If in Doubt Check it Out.
I know it's silly, but Both sets are in the car, so if the car gets nicked am I'm trouble with the van too, But knowing me, if I have them in the house I would forget the blo*dy things, So i'l get to the caravan and no keys, so wot do u do with a memory like a siv.
Sorry. I also have these fold up keys too.
------------- Roughing it in style at Calloose caravan and camping holiday park nr St Ives.(seasonal pitch)
Its not a hangover, its wine flu!
I decided recently when we got our keys to have an extra set made so we have 3 of all of them (hitch lock, doors, wheel clamp etc)
one set is the "main" set that we use, the other set is at home and the third set is hidden in the tow car (well hidden I add) i thought that basically the caravan is either goign to be at home, or (very) near the car so if we los the main set we have an instant back up.

I hope you can find them! That is soooo expensive!
I don't know if this will work, but try it anyway. Go to sleep thinking, 'where did I put those keys' over and over as you drop off to sleep, picture the keys and how they look in your mind. You might just have an answer in the morning! I know it sounds daft, but the subconscious mind retains a lot more information than the conscious mind, and you can sometimes tap into that.
