Hi i've recently purchased a 1992 abi jubilee equerry,but did not receive any manuals.Can anyone help me in locating any of the manuals that i would need,i can't find em anywhere.Thanks in advance.

Hi Adrian. Sorry to see you've not had a reply yet. Can't help with the specific model, but we have an Abi Sunstar of a similar age and we're finding it brilliant. seems much better quality than modern ones (Pete ducks and awaits the brickbats which are bound to fly after that). We thought we had a similar problem, but eventually found a complete set in a folder in a drawer. The manual itself is very general, talking about towing weights, loading, how to hitch up, how to site etc. But what was far more useful is the instructions for the individual bits, such as toilet, cooker, heater, water heater, fridge - even down to the water filter and pump. If any of these are any use, please let me know what the individual models are and I will do my best to get copies to you.

Hi Adrian, we have an ABI ace jubille viceroy, and have the manual.  As Pete says this only gives details of weights, bed lengths etc.  You will need to find out the make/model of such items as cooker, fridge, water heater, fire etc and have a search for these.  You may find them by putting a search on here or google.  Hope you enjoy your new caravan.

Hi thanks for the replies.we've used it a couple of times already and have worked out most things it's just a few bits of info i require really. when the electric hookup is in place does this recharge the leisure battery automatically,what should the tyre pressures be? how often should the water filter be changed? all the rest seemed straight forward,i agree, it is very good quality for it's age and i bought a full awning for it,it's lovely,far easier than setting my tent up on arrival to a site lol.thanks again.

Hi Agree with the build quality bit totally. Battery charging. I assume you've actually got a battery I would guess it's in the locker on the nearside where you plug in your mains if it's the same as ours - and it looks very similar on pictures I've seen on the net. I would guess that the charger is under the seat on the same side (it is on ours). Make sure everything is switched on and it should charge the battery. If you want to check, it's easiest with a voltmeter. Disconnect one of the battery leads and check the voltage across the two wires It should be somewhere around 13.5 volts. If there is nothing there, check all the fuses. Our fuse in the line to the battery is 25 amps.
Water Filter: Recommended change at start of season after sterilising the whole water line, then after each 30 days of use. Remember to remove before the winter but keep to sterilise next year. Run the water for a while after you've changed it as it will give off black bits from the carbon filter. (30 seconds suggested).
Tyre pressure: ummm difficult. Ours has 175 R 13 tyres and the recommended pressure is 54 PSI. Yes, 54! Don't forget the spare. Also, please remember that tyres have a finite life even if not used till they're warn out. Plenty of posts on this.

Thanks Pete,yes that helps,regarding the tyre pressures i checked them they were 39 psi and i thought they were too high but after a bit of looking around i realise they may be too low,mine are 165r13 i'll find a happy medium. i have a volt meter and never thought to check it with that so I'll do that at the weekend.i'll buy a new filter,never thought to sterilise the whole water line either,we just did the aqua roll, omg first cup of coffee was with last years water lol.thanks again Pete your help has been much appreciated.Adrian

We've the same van and again had no manuals or anything. Found most appliances through here or google.

As for the battery - ours didn't charge from the hook-up (which we found out late at night (on a wet and windy night) when the lights, toilet and water stopped working!). We bought a charger from eBay and this plugs in inside the van and then is fed through to the battery locker. It is a bit fiddly to arrange initially and we have to unplug it at night to make up the bed - but was an easy solution for about £50.

This is our first van and we are really happy with it. Going to have to upgrade to more berths in the next year or so and will be sad to see it go.

I have just bought a used jubilee equerry with a couple of manuals but need to know how to get power to the sockets and a couple of other things. My service list says the tyre pressures should be 40 by the way.
