Can anyone tell me if we buy a 2007 Bailey privately with a full service history can we have the remaining bodywork warranty transferred to us? Also how long is this warranty on a 2007 Bailey?

You can transfer the warranty but it has to be accompanied by evidence of their annual service requirements.
Warranty is transferred and water ingress is covered for a fixed amount of years. Other equipment eg fridge, heater etc are on a sliding scale and warranty reduces over time.
I emailed Bailey and found them to be very helpful as we had a bit of bother with ours due to the previous owner not registering. All Bailey were bothered about was the years of registration and the annual services - transferred no problem upon production of their required paperwork.
I decided not to transfer mine in to my name when I bought my nearly new Ranger on the basis of Baley's wanted to charge me to do so. I thought, why would I bother if I never needed to make a claim so I just left it. I thought I would transfer it over should I ever need to use it.
I didnt and I'm glad I saved a few quid!

The van has been serviced annually at a Bailey dealer, its a 2007 500/5 Michael. Are you happy with your van?
yes love it .its perfect for what we use it for, looked at others including ones at the show GMEX.its a very spoilt caravan, just fitted a new carpet and three new tyres.no major faults i can tell you about since we got it.ours is a 2003 500/5.we got it at 12 month old and it still had plastic sheet on the floor covering the carpet.our grandchild of 7 years has a full size bed to himself.tried the bunk once he was so exited he could not sleep.you still need permission on the warranty from bailey i believe.
sorry about weeds they will get done,on my to do list.

------------- the only silly question is the one you do not ask.
WHATEVER YOU DO OR WHATEVER IT COSTS I CAN'T STRESS ENOUGH HOW IMPORTANT IT IS TO GET THAT WARRANTY TRANSFERED. Sorry for shouting but this is why.....
Yes the water ingress warranty is 6 years from 2007.
Don't want to worry you but we have had to have a new front AND a new back on ours, the back cracked just before Xmas. An on going problem with Bailey panels of this age.
All replaced under warranty.
The service doesn't have to be done by a dealer....
as long as the person/workshop is caravan council approved then the warranty is valid.
They can't do any warranty repairs, for this it will have to go to a Bailey dealer.
I have this in writing from Kelly at Bailey.
We had a mobile engineer to service ours last year, he found the damp. There were no quibbles from Bailey when the dealer we bought it from got approval to fix it.
NB.if 2005 to 2007 bailey check for cracks of about inch long above the windows each side at the front, check also the rear panel for cracks.there has been a lot of complaints about this.
