Hi,

after years of tents, trailer tents and latterly a Conway Crusader folding camper the wife has nearly beaten me and convinced me for the need of a caravan.

Looking for something up to 7k and we have 2 adults and 3 kids (7,6,4).

Any advice on a good caravan and layout we should look for. Anothe rissue is 5 or 6 birth and the advantages that may bring (sometimes have the mother in law but this should not be the deciding factor.

Used to towing the campervan at 5 m long but in my head the step up to a van of the size to take all my family scares the hell out of me.

Never learned to manouevre the camper as you could push by hand. So i think a course is in order.

Think i need some reassurance that with care and consideration the towing lark will not be that bad. We have 2006 galaxy that should be more than adequate for towing.

Any advice would be truly welcome (especially the reassurance).

If you are used to towing a folder its not a big change to a caravan. You won't be able to push such a large van easily but this is simply overcome with a motor mover. After a couple of times out you will be well used to it. If you are really worried take a club training course.

I think layout is very much personal choice. Look at lots and see what works.
