We have been looking at the new Bailey Orion 430/4 today and really like it. Price on the window is £12995 (no delivery charge as Chipping Sodbury Caravans dont charge for delivery). The dealer has offered us a discount of £900 without us even asking. We would want a door flyscreen adding as well as a further internal electric socket and an external socket. Would we be cheeky to ask for these to be included in the deal (been quoted £200 for flyscreen and £60 per socket) or ask for some accessories free??

No harm in asking - we had extra sockets etc fitted when we bought our van included. Are you first time vanners? If so, Id be asking for a starter package as well. Get as much as you can and negotiate hard. Even worth calling other dealers in the area to see what they would offer to use as a bargaining tool.
And dont be put on the spot by the "special offer that just happens to end today/tomorrow" line.
I ask them to put the deal offered on paper, including extras etc, Gives you time to think about it and go back later, Then they know you're serious and they know you're doing your homework and won't be a pushover.
Oh, and worth asking if theyve got any second hand awnings in good condition that will fit as well, they often do. Or a hefty discount on a new one.

I would be surprised if you get any more off the van. Remember you have had £1400 off already. I would also be very surprised if you get more than that off a brand new out van anywhere else. Most advertised deals are on old stock / ex demo.
It was worth us traveling from Kent to Chipping Sodbury for our current van so the prices are very good.
Zafiral, we've been offered £900 off the van not £1400 and they've put all the essentials (aquaroll, wastemaster, hitchlock etc) and a mover on to the quote to give us a final price.

Go on their website & contact them Zafiral, they deliver vans all over the country so lots of distant customers must find them good to deal with. Lucky for us we're within walking distance of them.
However if you do you will probably realise you are getting £1400 off the van [you have got to include the delivery in the deal] as all other dealers will charge you this.
As it also is a brand new model you may find thats as far as CS are prepared to go.
You can always ask but ring around other dealers at least if you can match the deal CS may be prepared to go a little bit farther.
we got something similiar when we bought our Bailey Peg S1 (2010) . We got something similiar in reduction £1900 , we didnt pay for delivery charges and we were cheeky and asked for a free awning . We didnt get it nor anything else thrown in for free except the number plate and all the security. However they did say and held their promise that they would give us 25% discount on anything that we wanted to purchase from their shop. We waited till we collected the van some several months later and boy did we go shopping as it was our 1st van purchase so all items were required : battery, gas , waste water containers , etc etc we saved a fortune. So go for it , you never know but if you dont ask its a no .
We enquired about the Orion with the two dining areas, and we were quoted no delivery charge. We have a 1994 Bailey Avallon and he offered us £600. in part exchange without seeing it.
We have never had loads of extras thrown in when buying a caravan, though I am hoping to have the mover moved over for free. You have to decide if you are going to walk away if your request is declined.
We have just done a deal on a new car, asked for a tow bar and tank of fuel, and was prepared to walk away much to the dealer's surprise and he did buckle!
