Hi all, just me again!!!!!! I have measured my caravan and it is 22ft so what size awning will fit please? I have looked on google and various other search engines but different answers keep cropping up. Also I have a size 13 Sunncamp presige awning that may fit the altered awning rail on the caravan but how do I find out how long in inches a size 13 awning is? Sorry to be a pain but I am just a new caravanner and I need expert advice from all you experts! Thanks.

You can't decide an awning size by the length of the caravan because various caravans have different contours. Take for instance a caravan with a boat roof, the centre of the van is high but it slopes down each side so the distance from floor to roof will be different than a caravan with a complete flat roof. Also some caravan roofs are not flat all the way along which have an incline slope from rear to front edge. All the vans could measure the exact same body length but I guarantee that due to the various roof shapes the awning rail will differ. There's only three ways to find out and that is contact the manufacturer for official awning size, visit the website of the awning manufacturer or check the awning rail length yourself. Any guess work involved and you could be out of pocket.

Thread some string through your awning rail let it touch the ground at both ends and that,s the length of your awning or do the same with a tape measure

just tried that but no Orion on there yet. Think the dealer said it was 928cms so a 925-950 size 12, is that right?

Thanks to all who replied, using the string method I have found my awning size to be a 950! I'd be totally lost without this site.
